The historic Yering Station was the first vineyard planted in Victoria, established in 1838 by William Ryrie. The winery is one of the most impressive new facilities in the Yarra Valley and it has set its sights unquestionably high.

The Reserve Pinot Noir is a beautifully made wine based on the best parcels of fruit in a top vintage. A combination of techniques including cold maceration, open fermentation, partial barrel fermentation and maturation for approximately 11 months in new and aged French oak barriques brings a lovely fragrance, clarify of fruit, richness and concentration to this wine.

This single vineyard wine under the ??Reserve Release?ˉ has been sourced from 37 year old vines, which allows the wine to reflect the true relationship between the soils, vine and climate. The vines have been grown without pesticides or herbicides and the grapes were hand sorted before crushing and fermentation took place. After fermentation, the wine was aged for 10 months in French oak barrels and was not filtered or fined prior to bottling.

A medium red colour, this wine displays aromas of red currant, cherry and raspberry with subtle spice. A medium bodied palate is richly textured with long, fine and gentle tannins.

Domaine A Cabernet Sauvignon is a flagship wine and is only produced in vintages which are considered to be of an exceptionally high quality.

This wine was made using the classic Bordeaux varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc and was matured in new French oak barrels for 24 months and was then cellared for an additional 12 months.

Deep crimson in colour, intense aromas of ripe blackberry and red berry fruits with hints of mint and spice precede a voluptuous palate with dark berry fruits and earthy plum and blackcurrant supported by fine, elegant tannins and balanced acidity. The finish is long and persistent.

The story of Peter Lehmann Stonewell Shiraz began in 1987 when Peter Lehmann decided to make a special reserve Shiraz which was named ??Stonewell?ˉ after the district that he believed showed the characters admired most in Barossa Shiraz. This tradition has continued and fruit is sourced from no more than a dozen small, old vineyards each year ¨C the oldest planted in 1885.

This wine has a wonderful depth of colour, with a complex bouquet of blackcurrant, aniseed and mint. A dense, powerful palate with layers of black fruit, liquorice and firm tannins complete this exceptional wine.

Mount Edelstone has achieved a formidable reputation since its first vintage in 1952. Located high in the Eden Valley region, the 96 year old vines were planted in a vineyard which came to be known as Mount Edelstone ¨C meaning gemstone. The vines are low yielding, producing a depth of colour, concentration of flavour, length and maturity of tannins unique to old-vine Shiraz.

Deep crimson in colour with a purple hue, this wine exudes a powerful aroma of blackberry and plum with complex hints of star anise, ferns, eucalypt and dark chocolate. The palate is intense and concentrated blend of sweet, juicy plum pudding fruit and the wine displays the hallmark characters of the Mount Edelstone vineyard in one of its greatest years. This was an exceptional vintage, and this wine can cellar to 2015.

Originally created by Max Schubert in 1951, Penfolds Grange is a cornerstone of the Australian auction market with a reputation and track record that rivals some of the great classified growths of Bordeaux and Burgundy. The 1955 vintage was listed by the American wine consumer publication ??Wine Spectator?ˉ as one of the greatest wines of the 20th Century. The fame of Grange has reached far and wide and volume of supply makes Grange one of the most highly traded wines at auction anywhere in the world.

A very ripe, assertive, profoundly structured wine, 2003 was a warm year for Grange resulting in dark, brooding and brambly fruit and lavish oak are supported by drying, firm and chalky tannin. It is a young wine, with a surprisingly floral and heady, jasmine-like bouquet and dense layers of blackberries, blueberries, cassis and dark plums backed by smoky, meaty, dark chocolate and cedar oak influences. As it opens further, nuances of treacle, aniseed and graphite slowly emerge. Firm and dense, its palate simply drips with concentrated flavour, finishing with the length and balance expected of this label.
